New Single Out Now: La Bête Noire (Alive)

The saga of La Bête Noire continues — and this time, the beast comes alive. Literally.

mockART proudly presents La Bête Noire (Alive), a raw and electrifying live recording captured on September 8, 2024, at Atelierhaus Orber Straße in Frankfurt. That night, the band’s lineup featured Christoph Dorner, Ümit Kaya, and rabirius, delivering a powerful performance that brought the beast to life in front of an intimate audience.

This new release includes La Bête Noire (Alive) as well as a live version of Kör Adamın Gazeli, a track originally from Men Who Lost Their Heads. While unrelated to La Bête Noire, it was part of the same unforgettable night and complements the energy of the set.

The single is available now on all major streaming platforms and as a digital download.

But that’s not all: La Bête Noire (Alive) is also a preview of what’s to come. It will feature on the upcoming remix album, dropping June 20, 2025 — an entire release dedicated to remixes of this ever-evolving track.

And there’s more on the horizon: the rest of the live performance from that night is in the works and scheduled for release later this year, likely in autumn. A rough mix already exists, but it still needs some final touches before it’s ready to be unleashed.

All mockART albums re-released on CD

The first mockART album Reflux Ux Bisou was only pressed as a very limited CDr. ION was released in Slovakia and we haven’t even got a single CD ourselves. Living with Human Machines and Country Songs were only released as downloads. Though all four albums are available on major streaming sites and as downloads, we felt it was time to re-release (or release) them in physical form. Therefore we remastered the audio a little and rebirius created further artworks for the new CDs. The albums are all available at our store on Bandcamp. So while you wait for the new album to come out, here is your chance to revisit the our back catalogue.

Meet the Lizard People!

We have already started working on a new album that is supposed to come out later this year. The title will be Men Who Lost Their Heads. For writing and recording, mockART teamed up with flute player Christoph Dorner who provides beautiful melodies and stunning effects.

We have decided to already release one of the tracks as a single. On Lizard People you can already get a taste of the direction the new album will take. The song is available on all major streaming and download platforms and we also published a video clip. Please go to the music section to find all the relevant links.

We have also created some new mockART designs for t-shirts and other merchandise.
